喜愛龐克搖滾的樂迷們應該不可能沒聽過Rancid的大名，
想想也奇怪自己分享龐克搖滾這麼久卻好像都沒翻譯過他們的歌。
Rancid(台灣翻譯：惡臭合唱團)在1991年於美國加州成軍，
由前傳奇樂團Operation Ivy的兩位成員組成，
包括核心人物Tim Armstrong與bass手Matt Freeman。
Rancid被視為90年代美國地下龐克搖滾浪潮的主要推手之一，
多年來始終在龐克搖滾被視為神團的地位，
近年Tim Armstrong比較多專注於自己偏鄉村音樂的發展，
在2017年的專輯"Trouble Maker"後就沒有新作品了。
Rancid的曲風橫跨Hardcore, Pop punk以及Ska punk，
早期Tim曾邀請Green Day的Billie Joe加入但被對方拒絕，
不過成名曲"Radio"就是由兩位Armstrong共同譜寫而成，
Billie Joe也有跨刀獻聲。

關於Tim有蠻多可以講的，
包含他的個人發展以及跟Travis Barker共組的開創性樂團"Transplants"，
未來有機會再好好介紹。

這次分享的歌收錄於Rancid在2003年發行的專輯"Indestructible"中，
在製作這張專輯前，
Tim的前妻Brody Dalle(Distillers主唱)劈腿Queens of the Stone Age主唱Josh，
因此Tim與Brody在2003年離婚。
而這首歌主要就是描述Tim是如何藉由朋友的幫助，
從被劈腿的低潮中走出來。

蠻羨慕可以用寫歌來婊爛人的方式，
也因為自己前年遭遇同樣鳥事的關係，
所以我就把這首歌拿出來聽了整整兩年，
也感謝這兩年來陪伴在我身邊的朋友，
在我低潮時的深夜願意陪我聊天，
也祝福爛人早日下地獄。
