ELLEGARDEN於1998年成軍於日本千葉，
活耀於2001~2008年休團，
基本上在這段期間，
不論單曲或專輯都攻佔了日本各大排行榜榜單，
並且成為少數攻進海外的日本龐克樂團，
樂團曲風主要為Pop Punk，
在2000年是少數有著純正英文口音的日本樂團。
我大約是在2005年接觸他們的音樂，
沒想到才三年就進入長達十年的休團期。
一直到2016年在One Ok Rock主唱的遊說下，
讓ELLEGARDEN得以於2018年重聚並在日本展開巡迴，
復出巡迴的票超過百萬人參與抽籤...
甚至引發了買不到票的歌迷在演唱期間坐在場外聽漏音的情況。

首先來談談ELLEGARDEN的音樂吧，
對他們的印象就是正面、樂觀卻不說教，
相較於另一隻我也很愛的日龐銀杏Boyz，
主唱細美武士所寫的詞雖然描述的是難過傷心的事，
但總是用樂觀正面的方式在傳達，
也因為這樣，
在我生命中最糟的時候，
最先聆聽的都是他們的歌。

而很幸運也非常感謝滅火器的大正，
在日本巡迴門票根本不可能買到的情況下，
在2019年火球祭邀請他們來台，
記得那天"金星"的前奏一下，
眼淚就怎麼都守不住了...
