Against Me!在1997年成軍於佛羅里達，
曲風主要為融合民謠的Folk Punk，
這首歌收錄在2007年他們加入主流廠牌後的第四張專輯"New Wave"中，
歌曲主要描述一個虛構的女性，
在年輕時盡情揮霍人生，
並在中年時的情況。
我覺得這並不是批判任何人的生活方式，
只是單純一個虛構的故事，
主唱Laura表示：「這首歌中的她，
是我多年來遇見的女性綜合體，
並不是特別單指某個人」。
歌詞中的Johnny是John的暱稱，
通常妓女會用John來代指恩客。
在之前的文章中其實我有介紹過Against Me!的主唱了，
當時介紹了他個人專輯的歌曲，
只是那時候她還是男兒身。
主唱Laura Jane Grace 原名Thomas James Gabel，
在2012年5月正式宣布將做為一位跨性別女性而活。
如果喜歡台灣民謠龐克樂團"傷心欲絕"的話，
在"I'm A Taiwan Non - Style Rock"中的歌詞
"我的偶像湯姆變性了叫做蘿拉"指的就是Laura。
我大概在大三左右開始發瘋似地狂聽Folk Punk的樂團，
一直到現在Folk Punk都算是我喜歡的Punk分支中的前三名吧，
Folk這詞其實是指傳統音樂，
所以舉凡愛爾蘭龐克、民謠龐克、埃及龐克都可以算是Folk Punk之中，
假若台灣有人玩起客家龐克(八十八顆芭樂籽?)也可以算。
