Simple Plan於1999年在加拿大蒙特婁由主唱Pierre與鼓手Chuck組成，
2002年首張專輯"No Pads, No Helmets...Just Balls"中的
"I'm Just a Kid", "I'd Do Anything", "Addicted"與"Perfect"，
讓他們一舉成名並躍升為2000年初的Pop punk大團之一。

這首歌於2/18釋出並找來另一流行龐克大團SUM 41的主唱Deryck跨刀獻唱，
預計將收錄於SP的第六張專輯。
對Simple Plan的印象還停留在2019年與We the Kings合作的單曲"Where I Belong"，
這次MV發現Bass手David不見了，
一查才發現是被人指控對未成年粉絲下手所以於2020年自行離團，
而後SP也因類似的原因開除了巡迴合作的Bass手。

對SP的印象就是主唱那非常適合Pop punk的聲線，
以及強烈鄰家男孩印象的風格，
歌詞多半也是正面、鼓勵為主，
自己高中時非常喜歡"Addicted"與"Perfect"這兩首歌。

另一個有趣的點為這次MV中主唱Pierre身穿了EMO'S NOT DEAD的衣服，
大概半個月前才看到Pierre有上Matt Cutshall的頻道宣傳該品牌的童裝，
有興趣的可以上Youtube查一下。

對這首歌的解讀本來覺得是寫給前任的，
但邊翻譯邊看了幾遍後，
覺得這適用於所有曾經傷害過你的人，
甚至包含你的親人，
所以算是治癒了最近部分的我吧。
