睽違16年之久，
ELLEGARDEN終於釋出最新單曲，
而且選在了9/9這特別的日子。

在ELLEGARDEN經典名曲"NO.13"中，
歌詞開頭就是"September ninth"，
作為一首祝福與等待的歌曲，
讓眾多歌迷每年9/9都自發性的會在這天發表希望樂團復出的許願文。

有趣的是Mountain Top歌詞中也出現了貫穿No.13的"Pirate ship"，
就像是一首回答"NO.13"的歌曲一樣。

因為還沒有找到細美對這首歌的任何解釋，
我自己看下來的想法如下：
"NO.13"中講述的是與追尋夢想的好友道別，
祝福他揚帆出航能找他想要的，
並表達敘事者會在門牌號碼13號的地方等待。

而"Mountain Top"比較像是那位出航的人的心境，
在歷經了挫折與逃避後，
依舊掙扎著不想放棄，
尋找著最後一場戰鬥。

或許細美想表達儘管ELLEGARDEN在樂壇已處於極高的地位，
在經歷了16年來的自我尋找、挫折、成功後，
或許眾人已經以為他們永遠失去了ELLEGARDEN，
但其實他們只是在尋找著更遠更高的挑戰目標。

在整團去到加州並花費3個月的時間後，
ELLEGARDEN帶著超過100首的demo回到日本，
細美曾說：
"不知道睽違16年後再次寫ELLEGARDEN的歌詞會是什麼情況，
是那個覺得什麼都做不到的自己，
還是獲得勝利的最後勝著，
無論如何都不會受外界影響，
只想做出屬於ELLEGARDEN的歌。"

接下來就好好期待蛻變後的他們吧，
對我而言，
其實2019年能夠親眼看到他們，
或許就已經是我的夢想實現之時了。
