girlfriends由Travis Mills與Nick Gross組成，
於2020年6月釋出了這首單曲，
並在8月釋出第二首單曲"Eyes Wide Shut"，
兩首歌都收錄於同年發行的同名專輯中，
個人很喜歡這張專輯，
作為Pop Punk來說具備很高的完整度，
也可以聽見屬於Travis Mills自己的風格，
可惜在美國的知名度似乎不如預期，
在Youtube上的觀看次數實在有點少。

樂團將blink-182、5 Seconds To Summer與All Time Low視為最大影響者，
因此曲風主要會是Pop punk為主。
如果這首歌讓你有blink-182近年兩張專輯影子的錯覺，
不用懷疑自己的耳朵，
因為製作人都是Goldfinger的主唱John Feldmann，
也就是MV開頭指揮拍攝的中年男子。

Travis Mills於1989出生在美國加洲，
15歲開始學及他並組了個龐克團，
18歲開始在Myspace上傳自己的音樂創作，
爾後與主流廠牌簽約並發過三張專輯與兩張EP。
在2016年後開始淡出檯面，
主要都在主持Apple Music上的廣播節目。
早期他偏向rapper與合成器流行樂的曲風，
擅長將電子與流行樂結合嘻哈和R&B。

Nick Gross於1988年出生，
職業生涯始於作為樂團Open Air Stereo的鼓手，
後來成立了自己的唱片廠牌，
並且與John Feldmann(Goldfinger主唱)成立了Big Noise廠牌，
同時他也是Fin Your Grind教育平台的創辦人。
    
這首歌主要在描述在加州長大的主唱，
對於加州的看法與想法。

然後這又是一個饒舌完回頭玩小時候影響自己的龐克搖滾的例子，
繼Machine Gun Kelly後，
這會不會成為風潮並帶動Pop Punk的回歸呢?
有趣的是，
前陣子在VMA拿下最佳另類影片的MGK，
頒獎給他的主持人就是Travis Mills。
