沒想到是17年前分享這首歌曲...
時間真是很殘酷的存在呢。
網路上應該有不少人都翻譯過這首歌曲，
但有鑑於自己分享過就還是花了點時間再翻譯一次，
有些歌詞可能不是那麼的照翻，
而是順應了歌曲其描述的故事去做了調整。
該首歌曲主要描述敘事者清醒後發現自己在浴室割腕自盡的心境，
對於這首歌主唱表示他一直對於人前是個好公民，
但內心卻充滿痛苦像個野獸一樣的人心感到好奇，
所以試著用這首歌來描述這樣的狀態，
敘事者從恨意滋長到最後受不了，
決定自我了斷，
同時將內心那憤怒的自我也一同葬送，
但因為分不清是哪一個自我做了這件事情，
所以清醒後一邊感到罪惡(褻瀆)，
又搞不清楚這是夢境還是過去的回憶，
而wait and bleed就是形容割腕後流著血等待自己死去的過程。
歌詞中有個有趣的專有名詞"Manchurian candidate"，
直譯中文是滿州候選人，
是美國作家Richard Condon在1959年出版的政治驚悚小說的標題，
該小說敘述了韓戰中被俘虜的美國人，
經蘇聯送到當時的滿州(中國)洗腦後回到美國成為內奸的故事。
爾後該字眼衍伸為魁儡、受人操縱的候選人。
在歌詞中敘事者是在表明自己是個被憤恨的另一面所控制的受害者，
所以他決定親手結束這一切。
而歌詞最後依據的And it wait for you的it，
指的應該就是敘事者的屍體，
等著被他人發現。

團員從不以真面目現身 不過在資訊發達的現在真面目也早已在網路上到處流傳
主唱渾厚的嗓音嘶吼起來實在令人熱血沸騰
兩位敲擊手整個增加了該樂團歌曲的厚度
更不可不提鼓手 快到不行的雙踏 簡直不是人了
這首歌算他們的成名曲 也是我最喜歡的一首
歌詞描寫一個人偽裝自己而別人完全不懂他真正的內在
而這也算是我喜歡搖滾的原因
不像pop music老是在愛來愛去 痛來痛去
的確 愛情是人生活中的一大部分
但每次聽歌都得聽同樣類型 每次都歌頌或描述同樣的事情
總不會有人365天都是處於戀愛或失戀吧?
而這正是搖滾樂能令我感到爽快的地方
常常能在搖滾樂中聽到我真正的心聲 找到共鳴
因而發洩!!
也奉勸那些以為大聲或罵髒話就是爽就是屌的假rocker
