Hot Mulligan成軍於2014年，
來自美國密西根州，
wiki載明其為Post-Emo樂團，
曲風主要涵蓋Midwest Emo, pop punk。
截至今日共發行了兩張專輯與7張EP，
這次分享的歌曲收錄於2021年的EP"I won't Reach Out to You"，

會注意到這首歌當然是因為歌名，
直接載名與blink-182 bass手Mark合作，
但其實Mark根本沒有參與其中。
而這也不是HM第一次玩這種手法，
他們早在2018年就推出過一首"All You Wanted by Michelle Branch"，
實際上也跟美國創作歌手Michelle毫無關係。

Mark也在2021年邀請了樂團吉他手Chris上了Apple Music的節目，
簡單來說Mark非常欣賞他們這樣的作法，
並且在現場詢問是否能在未來真正與HM合作，
並希望歌名叫做"Not featuring Mark Hoppus"。

關於這首歌，
並沒有明確表示想念的對象是男是女，
連關係是朋友還是曾經的情侶都沒表明，
只描述儘管敘事者非常想念某人，
但因為無法面對自己的過去(當時拖累身邊所有人)，
所以不敢聯絡對方，
卻又情不自禁地想五年過去，
對方是否會認不出自己了。
