這首歌於2019年11月11日配合PS4遊戲"死亡擱淺"的原聲帶推出，
而後也收錄在BMTH於2020年發行的專輯"POST HUMAN:SURVIVAL HORROR"，
"死亡擱淺"由日本知名遊戲製作人小島秀夫主導，
他在離開前東家KONAMI後自行成立了"KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS"遊戲工作室，
死亡擱淺是該工作室推出的第一款遊戲，
在發行前就受到全世界玩家的矚目。
而這首歌的標題Ludens就是工作室的象徵性角色，
造型如下：

Ludens一詞源自於《遊戲人》（Homo Ludens），

是荷蘭學者約翰·赫伊津哈在1938年寫的一本著作，
討論了在文化和社會中遊戲所起的重要作用，
他認為我們的文化系統，諸如政治，科學，宗教，法律等，
都是由帶有遊戲性的行為發展，再隨著時間加深其儀式化而成。
當遊戲變得神聖莊重，且其規則被明確定下來後，
就不再輕易受到更動，且開始具有強制性了。

所以在這首歌中Ludens也可以當作新的規則制定領袖的意思來看待，
這首歌歌詞除了切合遊戲本身的精神外，
更描述了目前世界的現況，
雖然網路纜線與智慧型手機遍佈世界，
但這並沒有停止戰爭、霸凌或是阻止人類繼續摧毀地球。

關於這首歌主唱Oli表示：
我並不想要當個偽君子試圖去做一首很政治的歌曲，
我只是單純地想要描述世界的現況，
並呼籲我們應該要成為自己的英雄，
我們應該要用新的角度與方式去看事情，
整首歌從理解這世界正發生的錯誤，
到我們可以做些什麼去彌補。
