主唱Shaddix在自殘(頭上釘了11個釘書針)且送醫後寫了這首歌，
他事後表示"這首歌是關於試著幫助那些壓根不想要你幫助的人"，
歌詞"The scars remind us that the past is real" 引用小說紅龍中，
食人魔漢尼拔說過的話。

某任女友在他家辦趴喝醉後，
在宿醉且不知情的狀況下撞倒蠟燭引發火災，
然後就直接離開回家，
