這首歌於9/27釋出，
預計將收錄在SUM 41的即將推出的第八張專輯中，
專輯名稱暫定為"Heaven And Hell"。

早在今年5月初，
SUM 41就透過社交媒體宣布這張專輯發表並巡迴後，
他們就會解散，
但樂團並未對解散的原因多做解釋，
發表的文章中也僅感謝歌迷27年來的支持。

關於這首歌主要描述敘事者處於一段他自己也覺得不OK的關係，
但卻又不斷受到對方的影響而無法下定決心，
試圖想要說服自己或拒絕他人的建言，
直到最後自己決定離開。

對於hanging on 這個詞，
本來我是統一都翻成堅持下去或等待，
但後來置換了部分的翻譯成受盡折磨，
似乎比較符合歌曲所想傳達的主旨。

還記得SUM 41是我接觸punk rock後第三還四個聽的團，
相較於讓他們大紅大紫的2001年專輯《All Killer, No Filler》，
個人其實最喜歡隔年發行的《Does This Look Infected?》，
他們將金屬的元素融入Pop punk中，
搭配更為成熟的歌詞，
一直是我心目中它們的Top 1專輯，
在2004年的《Chuck 》專輯則應該算他們的高峰了，
儘管商業成績不如首張專輯，
但這張專輯有不少經典名曲包括《Some Say》,
《Pieces》,《No Reason》...等，
後來的《Underclass Hero》儘管成為了他們在各大榜單上表現最好的專輯，
卻反而走回了首張專輯Pop punk的路，
我也就比較少聽他們的新東西了。

隨著這幾年Pop punk有復甦的現象，
近年也看到核心人物主唱Deryck跨刀跟他團合作，
沒想到會忽然丟下震撼彈宣布解散，
不過在這個老團動不動就重組、復出、巡迴的年代，
我覺得就當作休團來看待即可，
畢竟熱愛音樂的人是沒那麼容易就放下的。
