這首歌收錄在Rise Against於2008年所發行的"Appeal to Reason"中，
歌曲很明顯是以反戰為主題，
由招募新兵的話術開始，
到描述主角參與戰爭，
經歷創傷後歸鄉。
以比較反諷地角度，
達到宣揚反戰的思想。

關於這首歌主唱Tim表示，
他想要藉由這首歌紀錄下現在正發生的事情(伊拉克戰爭)，
並且展示給現在的世代知道，
就像以前其他樂團或歌手會寫下關於越戰的歌曲一樣，
而他也從那些歌曲理解了越戰的一切，
他認為這是一種可以藉由大眾媒體，
向美國或其他地方的人們傳達現在正在發生的事情的一種好方法。
但在2008年的時候，
卻沒有多少歌曲在敘述長達8年的伊拉克戰爭，
所以他覺得自己有責任寫更多這樣的歌曲。
