歌曲描述的主題非常隱晦，

我是覺得這首歌在描述主敘者在白天有許多的壓力，
只有在晚上才能夠得以放鬆，
面對自己所愛的人，
雖然不一定可以得到同等的回報，
但還是希望對方可以陪自己在夜晚共舞。
在"Swing Life Away"中有段歌詞是"If love is a labor"，
或許跟這首歌的"Tomorrow we might wake in servitude and silence"有關，
Servitude這個詞可能就是Tim拿來作為Love的代名詞。
