首先這首歌Torn是翻唱歌曲，
原曲為丹麥歌手Lis Sørensen於1993年發行的"Brændt"，
後來在1997年被澳洲歌手Natalie Imbruglia翻唱並定名為"Torn"，
進而走紅全球。
Neck Deep的翻唱保留了兩個版本的元素，
除了將歌詞的性別轉換，
更成功轉化為他們自己的風格，
令人耳目一新。
該曲收錄在美國獨立廠牌Hopeless Records與Sub City Records合作的合輯中，
合輯名稱為"The Songs That Saved My Life"，
當中集結了許多知名龐克團cover改變自己人生的歌曲，
包括Taking Back Sunday, Against Me!，
該專輯主要是為了向"世界預防自殺日"致敬，
因此也特別選在2018年9月10日該紀念日當天推出。
很喜歡Neck Deep的版本，
甚至覺得是可以放進樂團專輯中的歌曲，
至於歌詞嘛，
就是對曾經愛過的人喪失信心了，
遍體麟傷卻又倔強地承受一切。
